Welcome to the Little Longhorn League (L3)

The Little Longhorn League is the parent teacher organization for UTES. Funds raised from the L3 events go back to benefit the school.
The University of Texas Elementary is an educational powerhouse, it takes best practices and uses them to push the envelope in education. UTES is a leader in bringing STEAM as a major focus in curriculum, while providing the tools children need to navigate life as citizens in the world. In order to provide this kind of superiority education and outreach as a small charter school:
  • UTES spends approximately $10,000 per student.
  • 76% of $10,000 is provided by average daily attendance funding from the state, and Title 1funding from the federal government.
  • UT Austin provides about 10% of our operating budget, and the remainder must be raised from generous contributors who believe and see the value of investing in our mission.
The Little Longhorn League assists in fundraising to address the funding gap and enhance the experience of the school community. The Little Longhorn League executes this in a variety of ways, from crisis support to struggling students' families to fundraisers for classroom supplies and field trip needs.
The Little Longhorn League (L3) is a 501(c)3, tax exempt, non-profit organization.

Thank you for supporting the Little Longhorn League on ​Amplify Austin Day (March 6-7, 2024)

L3 successfully raised $1,460 on Amplify Austin Day! These funds help us with family friendly engagement nights, like Spooktacular and Bevo Bash, and continue to appreciate our UTES staff and teachers year round! Thank you for your support!

Teacher Appreciation Days (2023-2024)

Thanks to everyone who volunteered and donated to our Teacher Appreciation Days this year!!

Pre-K through 2nd Grade sponsored a Thanksgiving Theme Luncheon for the teachers and staff on November 9.

3rd through 5th Grade sponsored a Valentine's Theme Lunch on February 14.

UT Elementary Spirit Nights (2023-2024) - More than $1,600 raised so far!!

L3 has sponsored four spirit nights so far this school year with more to come!
- Chuy's Spirit Night on October 9
- Phi's and Amy's Ice Cream Spirit Night on October 17
- Cidercade Spirit Night on November 13
- Hopdoddy Burger Bar Spriit Night on January 23
So far this school year, we have raised more than $1,600 to help UT Elementary fund events as well as to support our teachers, staff and classrooms!  Thank you to these businesses for their help and to our UTES community for coming out to support L3.  If you have any ideas for a Spirit Night, feel free to contact [email protected] with your suggestions!

SPOOKTACULAR 2023

L3 sponsored this UT Elementary's annual Spooktacular on Friday, October 27.  The event featured a haunted house, glow bowling, face painting, tattoos, a photo booth, snow cones, glow store, cake walk, craft station, sensory boxes, music, and costume parade!

Many thanks to everyone who volunteered and donated items for this fun event.  And special thanks to the Mini Mites for their performance and Snowbelly for the snow cones!

And congratulations to Ms. Porterfield who won L3's Halloween Costume Contest (and gift card) for her costume as Gru from Minions!!
