About the Little Longhorn League
You can invest in your child’s success by regularly communicating with his or her teacher and school staff about projects, assignments, and progress. As a parent at our charter school, we depend on you to contribute to that climate of caring that promotes the best possible outcomes for our students by living up to the expectations in the compact signed at enrollment. All parents are also highly encouraged to get involved with the Little Longhorn League (the UTES parent-teacher organization) and regularly participate in school activities, which promote a sense of community among the UT Elementary School students, parents, and staff.

Because involved parents and families make the difference, anyone with a connection to UTES (whether parents, teachers, grandparents, or community members) are invited to join the League. Some of projects parents have taken on in the past have:
- Helped raise money for UTES
- Built community by heading up special school-wide events, including everything from Fiesta to ice cream socials to beautification day
- Supported teachers with special treats and acknowledgments — during Teacher Appreciation Week and year round
- Supported all UTES students in small ways and large — through such projects as the school yearbook, prizes and awards, and such.
